Project and installation process

Six steps from measurement to delivery

Every project follows the same order. No step is skipped; production starts only after the sample is approved.

  1. Step 1: Measurement

The installation area is measured on site. The floor, light, furniture layout and level of use are noted.

Output: Measurement sketch and needs summary

  2. Step 2: Design

A pattern, colour and texture proposal is prepared for the space, working together with architects and interior architects.

Output: Design proposal and colour palette

  3. Step 3: Modelling

The design is modelled digitally in the space; proportion, layout and colour relationships are seen on screen.

    Output: Digital model

  4. Step 4: Sample

A small-scale sample is made. Texture, colour and edge finish are seen by hand and approved.

    Output: Approved sample

  5. Step 5: Production

The final rug goes into production according to the approved sample. Edge finishes and backing are completed at this stage.

    Output: Quality-checked rug

  6. Step 6: Delivery

The rug is delivered to the space; for stairs, yacht and wall-to-wall installations it is installed on site.

    Output: Installed and delivered space

Materials, structure and care

Every rug is planned around how heavily the space is used

Materials

  • Yarn selection. Natural and synthetic yarn options; wool, sisal, viscose-look or blended surfaces, depending on the project.
  • Pile and texture. Short-pile, flat-weave or glossy-surface alternatives.
  • Colour. Plain, gradient or patterned; approved from a sample.
  • Form. Rectangular, round, organic and space-specific cuts.

Structure and finish

  • Edge finish. Overlock, fabric border or contrast band.
  • Backing. Non-slip base and backing options, depending on the project.
  • Stairs and yachts. Pieces fixed to the step and cut to the curved form.
  • Wall-to-wall. A single surface laid across the space, with planned seams.

Care tips

  • Sweeping. Sweep regularly with a brushless head; on glossy surfaces, go in the direction of the pile.
  • Spills. Blot spilled liquid straight away with an absorbent cloth; do not rub.
  • Sunlight. In direct, constant sunlight, turn the rug from time to time to guard against fading.
  • Deep cleaning. Choose a professional rug-cleaning service; ask us for the method that suits the material.
